I bought a Phantom Nemesis Champ Kart

it came with a stock and not healthy Briggs 5.5hp that quickly got swapped for a Predator 212.

New wheels and tires were next along with a human size seat.

then another set of wheels and tires with wider rear wheels.

some safety gear was reworked to fit me and it should be ready to zoom.

Got a parcel from gopowersports.
Here are some photos. Header intake re-jet and heavier valve springs.

Those 5.5HP Briggs were beasts "back in the day" :cheers2:
...has it been built or "beefed up"?

Runnin' right it may "kick that Predators a$$" :2guns:

Anderkart I’m setting this one up for autocross so paved parking lots.

Functional the Briggs is a box stock bad casting with plastic camshaft junker. The predator has a few tweaks to bring it to as they call it stage 1 making around 12hp. I do plan to go to stage 2 with a better rod, big cam, light flywheel and mikuni carb. The stage 2 should make 16-18 hp “should “.

Cool, just wanted to make sure you were aware that most kart tracks have strictly enforced engine rules, before you spend a bunch of money on engine mods they might not allow in the classes rookies are required to start out competing in...
