I do not have my taken apart yet but figured if anyone does know the size I can pre-order it. GoPower Sports is out of stock and they are not sure exactly what size it is.

It is item 81 on this page http://www.bajamotorsports.com/system/documents/184_MB200GC_166_rpl___r_01_11.14.14.pdf and it shows it as 15 x 325... I am not sure if this mean 325mm (about 13in or so) and the 15mm was the width (0.6in). My questions is can I just go to Fastenal or another store and tell them I need this bolt size and make sure its grade 8/structural or something like that and then just match the thread to a lock nut to use as my axle? Is there a better way to procure these?

The current one is all buggered up (technical term I know) seems the previous owner tried to take it off with a adjustable wrench or pliers and i just want a new one.

Thanks,

I had this same issue when I built one, I needed a new front axle as it was buggered up as well. After emailing GoPoSpo about the front axle, they said I would need a lock nut, which I could get from a local hardware store. I got the axle and lo and behold it came with a lock nut...go figure :D

I see the dimensions for the front axle: M14X1.5X310 http://www.gopowersports.com/mb200-front-axle-bolt/

And rear axle: M14X1.5X330 http://www.gopowersports.com/mb200-rear-axle-bolt/

My guess is the rear axle is slightly longer, but looking at mine it appears the front one would fit (which they have in stock)

I took my front axle to a few local stores and asked for one like it, and they looked at me like I was crazy, and had nothing like it...which is why I ordered one.

TL;DR...I say get a front axle from GoPoSpo, which should come with a lock nut as mine did, and it should fit!

Oh man, that's dangerous :D

I would take the old axle with you to measure so you don't waste a trip!

I feel the same way, I'm young compared to most of you guys on here(almost 22) but with the hobbies I have I feel like I'm half my age LOL

Let us know how it goes!

Did you have a chance to get a new axle from GPS??

If so, did it fit?

Sorry forgot to update. Yep went to GPS and they had both the front and back in stock and both came with lock nuts, which is a huge plus. My current axles are chrome-ish colored so I got both as they are black and since i am painting the bike a midnight-ish blue theme I guess the darker the better haha. Plus at $7 a piece (plus they let me use the redbeard discount code) figured both are better.

Have not tried them yet but just putting them up against the bike they are seems to be a perfect fit. The bike is currently in many many pieces waiting on me to weld in some gussets to support my big rear without cracking but hope to get more time to work on it soon.

Is the Readbeard discount code better than our code Here at ....
DIYGOKARTS
???

I am not sure, I get 10% off for using it. I did not know this forum had a discount code, when I first started shopping at GPS told them I found them on this forum and never received a discount... never asked but still :)... when I told them I watch red beard they offered the discount. If it is 10% or more I will start using the DIY discount.

Awesome! Glad it came with a bolt, I was very surprised when mine did :D

Are you going to start a thread on this Baja (hint hint ;))

I think both codes are for 10% off

Yes I will, I will get a build thread started as soon as I get the rebuild started... for now gathering parts and throwing some ideas around. This may be controversial but the camo is going away and a dark blue will go in its place. I got this bike for really cheap and the plastic fenders were pretty beat up and cracked so I do not feel bad for the redo.

Good decision  I've never really liked the camo. Dark blue will look awesome!
