Glad to be here and looking forward to learning a lot. I recently picked up a Yerf Dog #3203 for our son's 8th birthday. It has a Tecumseh 6.5hp Power Sport motor. Needs some carb work (only runs with choke fully on) and a new chain which I plan to take care of before we give it to him. Will post pictures when I get back to it. It's currently hiding in his grandparents garage.

Thanks for the welcome! So from what I've been reading, my approach will be to replace the carb with one for about $119 that comes with a Predator 212 attached to it

You could do that or simply thoroughly clean the existing carb...

Yes, I'm definitely going to try cleaning it first. I bought a replacement online for about $11 and slapped it on there to see what it would do but it's not working yet. I'll probably just use the seals to rebuild the original after a good cleaning.
