Those types of Nerf Bars tell me your kart was made back in the 1970's/early-80's era. Those chrome Steering column support bars are one of Its most unique features. I think your kart was made by a company called Invader.

Check out the Vintage chassis ID pics at this site: http://www.vdm46.com/invader-chassis-id.html
You could try sending your pics (or a link to this thread) to that site too.

So i my search for the identity of this kart i found some etchings on the steering wheel, problem is they are really, really faded. I tried my best to outline them but it isn't perfect. Does anyone recognize what it says?

As far as identification goes, it seems that sellers around the world don't know what they're selling. Doesn't matter where you live--it's epidemic.

It's troubling and at the same time a very beneficial aspect. They don't know what they have and therefore cannot price it accordingly.

Always been that way with everything. As long as you aren't the one selling $500 or better karts for$70 it's a good thing.

Sometimes people do know what its worth but just want it gone. The same people that break their backs trying to pick up a dollar bill laying on the ground in point 2 seconds. People are weird.

For instance, my sisterinlaw flipped when I made a 10hr round trip for stuff that I made close to 1000 off of. Shes like you drove all that way just for that? Im thinking you go to work for 2 weeks to make that much? Not only are a lot of people weird but outright stupid as well.

I've seen serveral racekarts with autographed steering wheels. That might have just been engraved by one of your karts preveouse owners...

Hey did you contact that dude at Van Deusen Motorsports yet?

I forgot to ask if your kart has mostly all Metric or SAE nuts and bolts?
Also, Is your rear axle a Metric diameter (like 25mm or 30mm), or is it 1" or 1-1/4" diameter?
Those would be some good clues to help determine if your kart was made by a USA company or built in some other country on the metric system...
