Hey guys.

so my mini bikes wheel hub/sprocket assemblies bearings are pretty much shot. I was able to get some real nice hubs from my dad. he jjust had them sitting around!!!

anyways. the bolt pattern is smaller on the new hubs than the old wheel, they match up to the sprocket and i was wondering if i got some longer bolts could i put them thru the wheel, lock em down with some nuts, then get some tube to put over the bolt as some spacers then put the sprocket on that?

So in the pics, the black hub is the new one. its got really nice removable bearings and the silver one was the original hub.

i drew what i was thinking but i guess i dont know if itll handle the torque. like will it warp the wheel?

thanks guys

That will be fine, how ever the bearing are more suspect than the method of sprocket mounting.

If I'm correct, those bearings aren't meant for any serous duty. You'll need a proper precision sealed bearing.. Those are a sheetmetal cup crimped over an inner bearing race..

That does not give me good feels. I if there is a small difference , drill the holes bigger and use washers. Or redrill the sprocket for the right pattern.

Yeah the bearings on the silver hub were not very good to start off with. the black one i got from my dad.

the black hub's bearings have "NTNSC0228Ncanada" laser etched into the outer race and "SCO228L" on the red sealed part. the pic i found looks exactly like them. they have this C clip so they dont get pressed too far down into the hub it looks like.

i obviously havent got it going yet but they look and feel a whole lot nicer than the others

both the sprocket and the wheel hub have 3/8 bolt holes
