Put a closer booster seat on the red one. Limit the throttle on a 212. Thats the best option.

Sell the green one for 50 and use that on the red one.

A friend had a garden tractor that had a vertical shaft engine. It had a big disk on the end of the PTO and the axle had a rubber wheel that slid along the shaft. When you were going slow, the rubber wheel was toward the center of the disc, and as you went faster, the wheel slid towards the outside of the disc. It was an odd and cheap drive system.

No offense sure you didnt mean horizontal cause thats a Snapper setup. I have the lt16 but it has special plans for a custom build cown the road. Something that involves beer and speed.

Nah. It's vintage and interesting. I'm going to fix it up. If it's too slow or I don't like it, I'll sell it for $200 or so. Someone will buy it for their kid.

It could have been just a riding mower, it was a long time ago and he didn't have it long because his dad parked it out behind the garage and someone came down the alley and took it.

Yeah the basic idea was this. I was surprised that it would work for a lawn tractor like it did.

Believe it or not those old snappers with that setup, or at least the lt16s, can pull some weight. Im making a gravel road cruiser out of mine.

And totally understand keeping the green one for uniqueness.
