Eric you forgot, there is a several mile strip of Texas highway that allows you to do 85mph. Another benefit is, you can do the normal speed limit for towing, unlike Commiefornia where it's 55.

Most trailer tires can't handle the speed. That's why they upcap them selves.

And in Texas there are drive through beer barns. No need to get out it's window service.

Like that has ever stopped anyone before. The only trailers I've ever seen rated for 55 are ones from U-Haul. Though when I did work at Tires Plus, I did a few boat trailers for new tires and we never mentioned anything to customers about speed restrictions on them.

But lane splitting is perfectly legal. There's nothing like blasting between two side by side cars on your bike, I do it here even though it's not legal. It scares the crap out if most motorists. I think it's fun when they flinch.

I do it on the interstate at high speed for the thrill sometimes. It's probably a good thing I don't ride a whole lot anymore. I know it's a miracle that I'm still alive as is.

In most countries it's legal to lanesplit. It'll be years before it catches on in the states. But with lane departure, BLIS, and auto braking it should maybe take off
But I think it'll have too much opposition.

You know what's crazy, is in Arkansas you don't have to wear a helmet, but don't get caught not wearing a seatbelt in your car. That makes about as much sense to me as a football bat.

I was really hoping this company called Skully would have taken off. They were building motorcycle helmets that give 360 degree view and a few other things. Would have cost $1500 for it, pretty much a motorcycle version of a jet fighter helmet. But the owners decided booze and "cheap" ladies were more important. Part that sucks is they blew through their investors money, and on top of that it was a crowd funded group.

I'm down here in the San Juan Capistrano area.
Most of today I was trying to figger out how fast you have to go to get a ticket here.

The speed limit is 70.
At one point I was pushed along at 85, trying to keep from getting my brains scrambled in my helmet. People were passing me so fast, I almost stepped off the bike doing 90 because I thought for a moment I was stopped.

But I think the thing I hate most about this communist bassakwards Kountry, is if you get off on an exit on the interstate, it's almost impossible to find your way back.
