I want to build a drag race minibike but I have no drag minibike races. So................
I feel like if I build a drag race minibike it has to be the BADDEST or else why build it.

I will have to travel around to race it and if it isn't the BADDEST, why even try it.

Mine is in no danger at all of being the fastest drag minibike, but it should be fast enough to have a lot of fun a couple of times a year. I've raced competitively since I was 13, and to tell you the truth, I'm kind of over it.

I got the motor plate and driver support for the Jr. Dragster clutch the other day. I don't have a race until June so I'm not hitting this very hard right now, just gathering parts at this point. Between the Dover flatty and that clutch it should be a wild ride.

I built a Baja with a 212, TC, intake, header, governor removed and 18# springs and it was nasty. It would dump your *** off the back of it in a heartbeat. Pretty scary ride until I got used to it. I believe I hit 43 MPH on it.

Since I broke the go kart I'm going to yank the motor and put it on the minibike. I'm heading to my dad's this weekend, and over to my brothers Saturday night for some beer drinking and setting stuff on fire. The minibike should provide some entertainment for us. I'm going to put this motor on 20% for a little extra woopow.

Not quite yet. I took it apart and looked it over and all it seems to need is a ramp holder ( about $80 for top of the line) and I'm still debating on using it. I want to whip these guys and I think that polar may be the key to the kingdom if it's even rideable with that much power and a polar on a minibike. It should be ridiculous.

It is fun. The issue I have now is the TAV 2 just does not have the adjustability needed and doesn't really like high RPMS. I am running the yellow spring in the driven in the 3rd hole with preload and it still is pulling into high to quickly as can be heard on the video. I am thinking about placing an additional spring inside the yellow driven spring to see if I can further tune the variable rate.

That's exactly why I went with the polar, I didn't think a 30 or 40 would much like a 9000rpm 20something hp engine.

I got the motor back on the minibike and let my daughter ride it on straight methanol. She didn't make it across the yard before she wheelied it over backwards. She got right back on it and rode the rest of that tank of fuel out, which is only about a quart with the new tank I made, then I put a dose of 20% I'm it to show her what nitro was all about. I didn't make it across the yard before I wheelied it over backwards.



It's good to have the minibike running again, that thing is way more exhilarating than the go kart. I can only imagine what it's going to be like with the flatty and polar. I'd better get cracking on the wheelie bars as I don't think there will be any riding it without them.
