So after suffering long enough in this communist toilet that we call Kalifornia, the decision has been made that my family and I will be moving to Texas in the next few months.
That is why I have not and probably will not be here daily. So little to do so much time to do it.

Move near Austin and i will visit in May :)

Good luck on the move. For some reason i always imagined Texas as being a desert until i went there and it's greener then the black hole that is Kalifornia. Don't get sucked back in. I'm out in a year i think. Was thinking portland, Texas is nice though.

Only thing with Texas is property taxes are double. About 2%, where Cali is only 1%. Probably worth the extra 1% tax.

We knew you were a Texan at heart... Good luck with your move. May you always have a spot for the PoBoy to crash when the PoBoy crashes...

Whew!
I really enjoy it when people listen. :D
Just don't forget to leave your states stupid laws behind.

Maybe someday Tejas will get on board with the rest of the cool kids, and allow constitutional carry.

Hear, hear! Every time Chancer spoke of anything negative about the People's Republik of Kalifornia, Joe would say "you should move" over and over and over again. Sage advice.

He finally listened.

Chancer, you did pick a good spot. The Hill Country is awesome and beautiful. If you are moving to Kerr County, then most likely you will be near or in Kerrville. We have visited Kerrville before, and liked it very much. I have a few pics of our visit, I'll see if I can find them. I live on the opposite side of San Antonio, southeast. Let me know if you got any questions.

Found the pics. One of the great places in Kerrville is a giant steel Cross structure. There are also beautiful bronze sculptures there, and it is free, and open all the time. It is really an amazing place. Can't really explain it, but there is something special about that place and you can feel God's presence.

If I had to move to Texas, I'd move to Amarillo, so I could live next to the Big Texan steakhouse, and try to eat the 72 oz steak for free every night.

i think i could at one time eat 72oz of meat. I once had a 36oz T Bone in Arizona. I would need to starve a day or two i think to be able to complete 72oz of meat in one sitting.

wow this girl did 3 of them!!! in less then 20 minutes

guess she eats free everyday :)
