New axle on the murray kart. The PO broke the axle and put a small one in it place so I replaced it with 3/4 round stock.

can you share the axle part I have the same problem with mine?

I was looking at BMI couldn't figure it out.

thx

There's not a part. It's just a long 5/8 bolt that's welded to the frame. A free spinning wheel hub w/ attached drive gear, gets mounted to it.

This note was under DPC on the Murray cart he has the pics of the same issue I have.

Had a stumbling stone when it came to the axle. Cannot find a stock replacement, so after contacting BMI again, turns out I need to get a custom grind for this thing. Ordered a 1" solid axle and gave them the proper dimensions for step-downs to .75", keyways and thread length...even the thread type. Until that arrives, I'm able to strip the old paint, powder coat the frame and rims...and replace the tires. Going with a brighter glossy blue with black roll bars.

Strange setup with this tube welded as part of the frame. Two 1.75 OD bearings support the .75 shaft. Stepped down portion of the 1" axle I ordered will start prior to the bearing.

Thanks that's a good vid for the repair but I have the solid axle which drives both rear wheels.
Axle appears to have been welded right into each rim. I'm hoping DPC answers we both have the same odd rear axle design.
