420 Predator - How to install throttle linkage after governor removal?

Is there a write up or video on how this is done? I watched one video on youtube by shen something. But it's wrong. It would have the engine idle when gas is applied - backwards. Anyone know how this is done??? Thanks.

Thanks! What is your fabbed accelerator arm pivoting from? I picked up a bracket, steel bar stock while in town. I was following that shen youtube video yesterday so I clipped my accelerator rod. I'm afraid it may not be long enough now. So I picked up something similar, it's just a bit thicker. Figure ill have to drill out the plastic hole in carb where arm fits in? Once this is figured out I'm pretty much done!

Thanks. I just called them and they told me they don't know if it will fit the predator 420. Is that what you have, the predator 420? Any modding required? Thanks :cheers2:

I just bought one shipped priority. I guess ill be the guinea pig. :cool:

Yes I came across some of your posts on another forum, I see you have something else (I forget the name - power something?)

I did also come across that website you linked to. I passed because it didn't appear the top plate has any throttle linkage at all.

But I seriously studied your pic, and compared it to my predator. Top engine area looks identical. Do you know first hand it wont fit? Should I cancel order? Thanks. :huh:

Stringer, you really should take a deep breath.
You'll get this taken care of easier if you get yourself out of panic mode.

Mine was a power land engine. But we've since found out the arc one fits both.
