So I just received a use go kart frame and would like to rebuild it.. :auto:Just not sure where to start exactly...
So all in all I do know that im debating between the predaor 212 or 420cc.

Are there any aftermarket parts that would be better than the original.? I.e. stronger rear axles:feedtroll:

Is there somewhere I can buy the whole front end.. parts are shot and rusted that are on there.. :2guns:

Im basically starting with a frame and se WD-40..LOL GAS TANK HAS TO GO..

I do have access to a shop, 24yr old and decent with tools,
I dnt think ill need welding but it is accessible if needed.. Hoping to be done by Dec at worst with parts n motor

That's no go kart
, that's a buggy.

Does it have an engine?

No engine, no wheels, no rear axle ... and sorry to sound uneducated but whats the difference @hellion

Other than the suspension hook ups up front everything is practically frame and steering wheel.. nothing else

If that were my kart, I would:
1. Take everything apart (taking reference pictures of course)
2. Clean and/or de-rust all the parts (You may be surprised what a wire wheel can do.)
3. Replace any worn parts. (Just about everything can be found on Ebay, BMI Karts, etc.)
4. Decide your wheel/tire choice
5. Decide your engine choice

Now, 1,2 & 3 are pretty straight forward. 4 & 5 are not. You have to take into consideration who will be riding the buggy and what kind of riding will be done. You can choose anything from stock wheels & tires with a 6.5 Predator engine with a torque converter, to big bad wheels and tires with a 16hp engine.
The choice, my friend , is yours. You can make just about anything work!

---------- Post added at 03:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:03 PM ----------

42101
3206/4206
3209/4209
32092/42092
32093/42093

Best guess is one of the 9 listed.

If you click the link to the manual,
there are part numbers on the bottom.

At least part numbers for individual parts..

@ qtband Ok for starters.. im not detarded.. but how hard is it to remove the front end spring and what not and do I need any special tools..? I do have the basic SNAP-ON MECHANICS set... and access to other stuff if needed..?

Thanks for the wire wheel suguestion.. time saver.. might even paint it while my 02 Lesabre is getn a paint job.

So im considering 4 lug axles.. mayb from a cabrio (VW) or some small car... 1. Is this even feasible 2. Is it safe or 3. time an money consumer..
What are you sugguestion all and all .. This is my 1st time.. other than common sense im a lil uneducated on buggy builds and mods

@Ultralight01. Thanks but no thanks ... I checked reviews and think i should stay far away from this motor... to buy it twice would be buying the 420 predator and jus calling it a day... I like to do things 1 time only if i have to make a choice..

In a word, excessive; we really like the KISS method (Keep It Simple Stupid); IIRC, a rear swing arm can be bought from BMI, then you add the necessary stock parts...

Using car parts means you're adding unnecessary weight, fabrication time & money...

Think about this: If you use the hubs you described, then you need to fabricate arms to hold them, figure out & mount the arms to the main frame, fabricate a centre for the drive sprocket, on a hub that will take drive axle half shafts which would need to be custom made because stock shafts will be too long...

If you decide that's too much work & money, you could use a live axle running from hub to hub but, again, that would need to be custom made... at a price...

...Or, to save time, money & headaches, you could just go with option #1...

The problem is UltraL1 pointed you towards an engine, not a motor.
We like gasoline here. :)

How is this 420cc any different than the Predator 420cc?
I bet you can't tell me.
Because If I don't know, I'm sure you don't know.

Dont expect to get away with that comment and not share additional info.
Not here, not now! LOL

Paitently waiting for you to back up what I expect is BS!

Or send me the $350, I'll pocket $180, buy you a PL420cc and slap a genuine Honda sticker on it.

Powerland 420 16hp for an engine! Much cheaper than the predator 420. http://www.ebay.com/itm/PowerLand-P...550252?hash=item41b3bf906c:g:D6cAAOSwoudW4Mfq

Don't worry Luke, they underestimate the power of the dark side.

Wrong! Buying it twice gives you two pull start Predator 420cc engines (with different stickers) for the price of one.
