Go kart Acceleration problem

My go kart has a 6:1 ratio but the chain broke and when I replaced it and tried to drive it the acceleration decreased and before it would accelerate better than I does now.Does anyone know how to fix this problem.

Make sure you're chain isn't too tight.

I won't bother asking for pics....I'll just answer the question based on the information given: It's broken.

Now....IF....you want to post pics and add more information....maybe we can give a more detailed answer.

Replace Engine
Replace Clutch
Replace Sprocket
Replace Chain
Make sure chain and sprockets are aligned and properly tensioned
Replace Axle
Replace All Bearings
Replace Tires

That oughta do it!
