Hey guys, just wanting to introduce myself here. I am new to small engine builds, but I am hoping to grow my knowledge in this unfamiliar territory for me. Previously I did not really have much of a interest in small engines, but some recent health issues have cause me to change my thinking. I used to be a avid mustang enthusiast and gear head, but this year I was diagnosed with disk degenerative disease, sciatica and I have some issues with my SI joint in my pelvis. A long story short I am not able to play with my mustang like I used because of my conditions. Not wanting to give up on my love for engines I am going to take a step back and try playing with something smaller which hopefully will not cause me great pain. As I mentioned above I am into mustangs and racing, but one of my other great passions (and I get alot of teasing for it from the grease monkeys) is Extreme Computing. I am a very big nerd at the core of my being.
Well enough about me this is a forum for carting and bikes so ill get to the important stuff. I recently wanted to start a small engine build for a bicycle. I picked a fat tire bike thinking it would give me the best traction and comfort for all road conditions. The engine I picked was a Predator 212. So far I am having fun with the build I have the throttle cable setup on the bike and I have removed the governor and set up a proper throttle linkage on the predator engine. I still need to weld up a stainless motor mount for the bike and mount my gear on the rear tire.
