I really want front brakes too.
http://www.bmikarts.com/Hydraulic-Brake-Caliper-Master-Cylinder-Kit-Front-Rear_p_2855.html
How do I put brake rotors on my front wheels.
Do I attach the caliper to The Spindle?
Was just about to put the valve springs in my hemi 212. The hemi looks different than the video i watched, which was obviously non-hemi. Now, when i bought the 18lb springs, they didnt specify if it was for hemi or non hemi. Does it matter? Will any 212 valve springs work? I dont know how you would set the lash on these hemi valves.
I had the same question when I got the 18 lb springs.
On the Hemi....
Remove the outside E-Clip that holds the pin for the rocker arms. Push the pin out towards the center (no room to go the other way).
Now you can just lift the rocker arm off.
If you try to push down on the retainer for the spring, the valve will go down.
People put rope in the spark plug hole to keep the valves in place.
(This was confusing to me at first).
With the rope in place, you can push the retainers with your thumbs, slide it over, and take the spring off.
Install the 18 lb springs same way you took the 10.8 off.
Setting the lash...
Use a feeler gage.
Place the pushrods before putting the rocker pins back in.
Loosen the nut.
Place 0.003" gauge between the lash cap and tip of rocker arm.
Screw the whole stud/bolt until it touches, then tighten the nut while holding the stud/bolt in place with pliers on the square tip.
It takes some back and forth to get it just right.

end of the how to here.
Set lash at top dead center of the compression stroke
Thanks guys. I imagine the springs are the same for hemi and non hemi. They fit like a glove. In process of setting lash now.

They were longer. But it seems Ive read somewhere that the 18s are a little longer than the stock.

And, sorry for the dumb question, but is TDC on these when the piston reaches the top when looking into the spark plug hole?
But I think not Just Piston at top... Also has to be on the correct stroke. Right BOB?

Hey Bob have you seen this.
