Combustion Chamber: 42cc (2.56 cubic inches)
Intake Valve: 35mm (1.378") 6.5mm (0.256") Stem
Intake Lash: 0.004 - 0.006" (0.127mm)
Intake Lift: 0.259 (6.58mm)
Intake Duration (0.050"): 212 Degrees
Exhaust Valve: 31mm (1.220") 6.5mm (0.256") Stem
Exhaust Lash: 0.006" - 0.008" (0.178mm)
Exhaust Lift: 0.235" (5.97mm)
Exhaust Duration (0.050"): 200 Degrees
LSA: 110 Degrees
Head Gasket: ~0.045"
Connecting Rod: 4.430"
In The Hole: 0.035" (0.025" - 0.045")????? Guessing!!!! Will Measure!!!!

Mine might show up today. Now to figure out what 40 series on eBay is best.

they are all the same crap from china unless its $350 :thumbsup: and says something like "comet, blah blah indiana" stamped to the bell of the drive and cam of the driven.

My ebay strategy: sort: price+shipping lowest->highest

Step 1: take possession of one engine, not broken.
Step 2: begin fixing said engine, not broken.
Step 3: stare at one now broken engine.

I think I'm going to get the 212 running properly, then move it to the minibike.
I'll put ONLY one engine on the buggy, but it will be the 420.

Minus the governor/oil sensor this will be broken in on the buggy free of GAB. Then stage 1 mods. AND then ???

Stage 6 mods work better.............. Just sayin of course !

P.S. And if you pull the governor your gonna want a rod its cast. It looks to be weak link when i tore mine down. I will find out for sure here in a few weeks. lol

I'm pretty sure mine was less than 199, I'll have to go through my purchase history, I thought it was 189 though.

They where 199.00 then they where gone after that. All there is now is recoil start. Maybe next run of engines will be the same price but maybe not. So I picked one up for 164.99 "make offer".

Added the stock specs to the fist post.
(All hearsay, I haven't opened it yet)

390/420 Connecting Rods seem to run from 4.410" - 4.450" and I saw one at 4.610"..
I think the stock 420cc Rod is 4.430".
Guessed the Piston sits around 0.035" In the Hole.
The cam stuff came from that Geoff at Vegas Carts.

Joe Rep'n the 405 found it! Got to give credit. I was on the Home Depot Lifan for $250ish

Being somewhat new here wtf does GAB stand for? Are you using as chit chat. Or some other meaning.

Also kinda low compression compared to other new engines. Easy starting since a few of us got recoil starts.
