I was out on the kart doing donuts and hauling tail around the driveway in circles real fast. I started smelling oil.

I looked back and there was oil all over my motor.

The motor seems to be running fine and not making any different noises.

any ideas how it escaped the crankcase?

Where is the blowby tube that was connected to original air filter ?

Is that it wrapped up in Electric tape?

I usually take that hose and attach the open end to a Fuel filter. But it still should not be blowing out oil????

Does it smell like it has gas in it???
Check your oil level... You might have had a gas seepage and that why the oil is pronounced when driving.

It got a bounty paper towel loosely wrapped around then electrical tape. Ordered a small filter but hasnt come in yet!

oil is not blowing out. I wiped it off and no oil is coming out. The oil that came out did smell kind of like gas and was also slightly milky (and I mean slightly, not like water contamination)

would the engine be making weird noises if something bad happened or would oil just blow out somewhere and run fine until the oil went dry and burned up the motor?

So i put it on jack stands and gave it half throttle. That would be about 3200 rpms after it spins up and the tires start moving.

If I open it WOT then I get a pronounced clicking tapping noise from inside thew crankcase

Might be the governor going bust. I havent removed it yet because im waiting on aluminum flywheel and new connecting rod!

I might also add the oil level was perfectly fine and actually might have been slightly over filled. Even after the oil seepage i opened dip stick and oil overflowed out just slightly.

If it smelled like gas a bit... The you forgot to shut off the petcock to the carb...
These carbs like to leak a bit when sitting.
I had the same happen to me a few times... After I forgot.
