A guy hits your car and tells you to pull over. You pull over and he starts to argue whose fault it is. You call the cops and try to take a picture of his license plate but he prevents you by folding the plate and ultimately tearing it off his car, then as he gives you the bird he tears out.

The cops come and say they don't feel there is enough damage to your car to pursue the issue and they're not willing to write a report.

The guy was wearing his work shirt, and there is only one location in your town.....

What to do, what to do...?

Options:
1. Go to his workplace, find his car and put dog excrement under his door handle.
2. Have your girlfriend call his workplace and anonymously charge sexual harassment.
3. Report a vehicle matching his and missing a plate as stolen.
4. Go to a bar, have a margarita and forget about Anyone.

You forgot the first step: superglueing that thumbtack under the handle first....so he immediately sticks that thumb in his mouth!

Jeeze....you probably ring the doorbell and run before you light the bag of dog poop!:lolgoku:

1) Tell the cops to write the report, and you are going to file charges for a hit and run. Its their duty, and they will try to convince you to not file charges because it means more paperwork for them.

2) Get a free call recording app, and call the place of business and ask to speak to the manager about something concerning his business. Be tactful/extremely vague until you can talk to the manager. Ask him if any of his employees drive a car matching the description and then tell him one of his employees was involved in a hit and run and you are the victim of the crime. (just make sure it wasn't the boss that did it :) Ask him about the employee, see if you can get him to tell you any more information about the employee (e.g. did he work that day, is he missing the front license plate, what damage can you see).

3) After you feel you have collected enough information, call the police station back and tell them you have been a victim of a crime and reference your case number (see item #1) and you have information about the criminal. If you give them enough evidence, they can detain him and question him for hit and run. They can get the individual to give up information regarding his vehicle (drivers license, insurance etc).

4) Once you get the guy's info from police (if you can-which I am not sure of) you then either by yourself, or through the police, contact his insurance and file a claim for damages and begin the process of having them fix your car, no matter how small the damage.

5) You have rights and you can prosecute this individual to the fullest extent of the law. Make sure you tell his insurance that you are experiencing a lot of emotional distress and anguish from the accident so they can document that not only did he damage your car, but you can have a case to sue him if you wish. Worst case scenario, if the individual is convicted of a crime (hit and run) the prosecutor will look at the amount of effort/anguish you went through and the willfull disregard the person has.

Or just really look at it and if the damage isnt bad, and your vehicle looks like crap anyway, just go through his insurance and get them to cut you a check.

These are some of your options. These are your rights as a victim.

Whatever you do, don't let anyone jack you around and stand up for yourself.

Call his work! Tell them exactly what happened Describe the vehicle. They will know who it is.
Tell them you just want to let them know what kind of people work for them. and that he represents THEM, in his work clothes in public.
Tell them you and everyone you know and ever meet will never do business with their Company.
I am a bit of a Richard, but that is what I would do.

Cause really you cant shoot the guy, but you can get him FIRED!:devil2:

We got plenty of pictures of the car and the missing plate area, even photos of him mangling the plate. It was last Saturday and I'm going to his work today to stalk him.

Just park off property, as he drives by give a casual wave and drive away. After about a week of that should drive him nuts.

bahahaha, so true, my look is intimidating which wasn't the goal but it sure comes in handy sometimes

that being said I just kept my full face helmet on but didn't see his car, I had my piece on my belt, plus a ball peen hammer I was anxious to swing

I won't soon stop looking for him, he probably thinks he can lay low for a week or two and it will blow over- not happening.

This is why I carry a bat and a .38 in my truck. The bat the break a knee at a time and if he's packin' heat a couple through the shoulders...

Luckily I've only had to break ONE knee thus far... but there's enough ****tards out there to where $20 a box of ammo is worth it.
