water meth

So I'm off to the magical world or water meth.You just have to love meth that coupled with a motovox 80cc and a predator 212 will be the building blocks for my study.I will be studying the effects it has on these smaller motors so I can see if it will be worth the time and effort to put on my car.I wonder what gains I Will achieve with these motors .My guess before going into it is there will be a much greater gain on the smaller motors in power to size because of the fact that these motors are air cooled and methwater adds a much greater cooling factor to them .Where cars all ready have a radiator keeping them at a steady temp air cooled motors run hot.I have all ready collected most of the parts I need to test .what do you folks think am I crazy or what ?

On another note this is what I'm worried about.The injector I have is 1gallon per hour 63ml min that's a little over 1cc of fluid a second if my(>>> combustion chamber is 11 cc on the motovox (<<<Example).With the motor at 4000 rpm it's fired 66.6 in one second should I be worried about it hydro locking ?

Im no expert(meaning id know a bit more than you probably)This is meant for forced induction power plants, with EFI.
This is wasting money....

I don't see the benefit of running water/methanol injection in a small gas engine. I think it's just added weight and expense to a disposable engine. If it were a turbo'd inline 4, v6, v8, or diesel ID say go for it. If your just trying to keep the engine cool try to get more air to flow towards the engine or hook up an electric fan.

lol no they have not chancer nice try though .First one to catch the joke i was baiting the waters for one .I did all this math and thinking for the meth kit lol so i can figure out how to get some results without coming close to breaking a 10000$ car .I personally would rather break a 30$ engine then the car i use to get to and from work.

It's just washer fluid they run. Look at a bottle and it'll say contains methanol. Usually it's 70% water 30% methanol.

Update :I don't do much on go karts anymore on account I don't have room for one.But I have been keeping up with my plan I have almost finished my meth kit install on the car .I've drilled a hole into the cold air intake on the bottom. So nozzle faces up .mounted the pump and the container all that's left is wiring and fuel line hook up .I ordered the pre mixed 50/50 solution .I have hopes to expect 15-20 hp in a 2.5L Ford fusion .

Meth injection is typically used on forced induction applications to decrease pre-detonation to allow for more boost. There are other advantages as well that you can take advantage of for a naturally aspirated application but I'm not sure if trying it on a small engine will actually give you a decent foundation for a logical comparison. IMHO the major benefits in a naturally aspirated application is cooling the air. I have read that some guys actually prefer to set up a grid with mist sprayers on the flow in side exterior of an intercooler. It cools the air very well without the water/methanol being IN the air.

I would be leary of trying it on a small engine without the ability to adjust the minimum amount of mix less than your current injector allows. I like the idea and creativity of it though! Sounds like sumptin' I would try! Lol

You can use it in a N/A setup, usually when very high compression is being used. The real downside is, if you're all setup for meth, with your 13.5:1 compression, and pump gas, and you run out of meth, there goes a piston. At least under boost, you're not ordinarily at max boost lol.

I guess a better question... To what end are you trying to achieve....
This isn't really a performance car/engine.
Better brakes/tires/plugs and wires/airfilter assembly ect are a better bet for "tuning" your car than a more or less specialized cooling system predominantly used for forced inducted motors...
Which I'm assuming yours isn't...

Naturally aspirated my car can tune it's self dependsing on the weather outside it either advances or regards the timing .No it's not a race car me doing these things ads luxury and gains such as better Handling on the road better gas mileage smother running engine .if I where to take it to the track there would be gains in areas .no windshield washer fluid for me AA grade methonal mixed 50/50 ratio with distilled water
