Hang on, yesterday you argued that, according to the rules, you were "entitled" to start different threads for different questions, now you're asking a different question in the same thread, you can't have it both ways...

Oh no!!!! You didn't really just go there? I contend that while the rules say not to ask the same question in duplicate threads, it doesn't say asking a different question in the same thread is a violation , which to ME! also means that it doesn't REQUIRE a new thread, and I consider ANYTHING concerning the same kart to be the same SUBJECT.

You know I was the first to point out that the extra threads were unnecessary and not what we PREFER.... I , personally,don't see at all how you can interpret that rule as requiring a separate thread....I can easily interpret it as saying not to start new threads on the same SUBJECT....(kart)....however, literally, it only specifically mentions the same QUESTION.

I'm on your side.... and I'm sure Robert would have a little bit different position on this....if he were monitoring every thread all the time....so, really, the problem is convincing Robert he's definitely taken the wrong stand on this....and change the rules...(if need be).... but the LAST thing to do is to encourage multiple threads....

At the same time....let's not get silly about this.....

these were part of the same original thread, and two parts of a kart right next to each other. And what is the deal with this pettiness. Why be mean? I'm just asking questions about rebuilding a kart, why continue to stir things up Fabroman?

Now.....I'm on your side that Tony was a bit overzealous in his post....HOWEVER, YOU are the one that has been stirring up the cesspool....and have made issues out of non-issues....and are reluctant to let the slightest thing you don't agree with go....he's a moderator, your just a disgruntled newbie that ...(IMHO).... Has been given more help, and latitude with with your ungrateful attitude....than you deserve....

I already said it. This is just silly. We're supposed to be talking about go karts, not beating people over the head about etiquette.

Gentle reminders are *welcome* and helpful for the community.

As far as multiple threads, if someone is a habitual line-stepper, then they need to be talked to. But a new user asking some questions? (And actually posting pics!) That's a new member of our community.

Yes....that's my point. I have given him all the help I can on two threads, and so have several other members.

I will be happy to assist him any way I can if he asks for help. But he keeps saying he just wants help, but he's just arguing and not asking for any? ???
