Seem like a fair price? Identification help.

Found a kart on graigslist. It looks like a kart I had when I was little (mine didn't have a roll cage). He said there is less than a mile on the new SpeeCo engine and he wants $350 for it.

IIRC, 4 bolts & the whole cage comes off...

Even with a new engine, IMO, $350 is a bit of a stretch...

I had one when I was about 10 that didn't have the cage and the side "wings" were more rounded.

How much would you say?

I'll be honest, I've been looking for about three weeks and it's mostly $100 projects with two or three issues or $500 to a $1000 buggies.

IMO... round here... 'if' it runs... 350$ tops. If it dont run... exclaim that you'd be purchasing a new engine for 100$ and offer 250$ (or less... if he/she is a haggler then offer 150$ ).

Thanks for the info! It's suppose to be in good running condition. He wants $400, I figure I would offer $300 and shoot for the middle.

Just a couple of quick points:

What something is worth is whatever you can get for it.

A good deal is one that makes you satisfied with goods recieved for money delivered.

People get a little bit too caught up on a few dollars that you'll never miss just a few months from now......

I can agree with that. I probably paid a little too much for it after I looked at it. But pics to come...and tons of questions!
