Hey all, i'm looking to either buy a complete kart or have aproject build within the next few months. Im looking for a kart that'll go very fast, 80mph tops maybe, good handling, and reliability. Anyone got some leads?

Being a beginer, you do 80, or near that, in a kart and then tell.me how clean your underoos are afterwards. Lol there are a lot of experienced riders that dont even want to hit 50, and on top of that most karts are made to do a max of 30.

80 in a car or motorcycle, sure not too bad. 80 6 inches from the ground... check undies.

I want it to be fast enough to take it on a highway/roads nearby. Yolo. Mostly just nearby roads so it'd need to go at least 50

The guy next door to me has something that you might like. How many Rands are you willing to spend?

(Are you getting the hint here?)

yeah, im not really sure. cost isnt a big deal to me

I don't think you are following. We have no idea where you are from....so we cannot suggest anything to you. I could suggest you get something from Vietnam, but i am not too sure how much vietnamese dong you are willing to spend

I'd say saving up for a shifter kart as anderkart mentioned.

But be careful op i was hitting 35-40 on my kart and it felt very fast man , kind of scary fast tbh . I crashed at 10-15 miles an hour and am lucky I was ok...

So as others mentioned when you're so low to the ground it feels even faster , and just remember when you're in a go kart there's no jumping off so a crash at 50+ could be fatal...

Also riding one of those on the streets I would say is pretty hot boy but it's manageable , riding on the highway is sketchyyy...

For practice...borrow or rent a Prius and drive 20mph in front of semi tractor trailers....(Just to get the feel of getting run over)....:ack2:

EDIT: BTW: If you haven't gone over 200 mph in a car....you aren't ready for 70 in a kart....

So you want to ride on public roadways with this kart at that? Now back streets I would say ya that's fine, cops usually won't mess with you, but highways and such are a different story.

You spend $1,000 on a kart to do 50 on a main road/highway and a cop comes along...kiss that kart goodbye.

Not to mention a shifter kart on a bumpy road...idk about your roads, but the ones up here I would barely want to do 30 on with suspension.

Well I'd hope to not come across any, but if I did I might run
Most of the roads nearby are freshly paved, not to bad except for one.

Lol thanks for the tips, like I said I'm new to all this, but it'd be cool if I could take it to the highway.

Right thanks for the heads up, I'll be careful. How much would the shifter kart cost?

Just a few friendly tips on forum ettiquette...

I see you found the multi quote button so, that saves me one explanation but, right next to it is an Edit button, please use it as opposed to multi posting

I'm near Baltimore MD in the US

Now, if you could add that to your profile, everyone will be happy :)

I for one am not going to give you any advice that could lead you to riding on a highway. It is not only yourself that you could kill, but other innocent people out there too.

:iagree::iagree::iagree:

Even thinking it is dangerous enough.

Do what you will, you obviously wont take advice from those that know karts, the laws, and the dangers to both yourself and others.

I won't help, and I hope no one else does too imho.
