Update with pics

Rent A Track Racing ..........RAT Racing coming soon!
Brought to you by COM Enterprises (Crazy Old Man Enterprises).
Got Phase 1 done today, oval track grade work and fill done. I took the first Dingo for some hot laps. It was great!!!!!
The track still needs to be water, compacted, and smoothed.
The General Lee 01 will be be changed to something else.
I'm no a fan of the Dukes.

Ground Broken!!!

Removing brush, trash, dead bodies, etc. This area is an old concrete and asphalt plant in an industrial park. Don't laugh; the price was right. Level land is hard to find and EXPENSIVE!

I think you'd be much better off building a conventional shaped oval with shorter straightaways.

There's no good way to gear a racekart for that track. Guys will be gearing for 50-70mph through the streat's and turn 1 & 2, then they'll have to slow way down in turns 3 & 4 and burn up their clutch's entering the front stretch.

A smaller oval would help keep speeds down and be much safer, a track like you've designed there will be constantly having serious wrecks in turn 3.

I like what you had the first time, but TOTALLY agree with anderkart about the speed and wrecks.
SOOOOOO, I would make the first hook a little deeper, shutting down high speeds going to turn 1.... After turn 2, put a hook too, just enough to keep speeds down, but leaving room to "play"....
That would slow them down so turns 3 and 4 aren't so "hairy".....
That probably makes no sense, so I'm gonna post my own rendition of your track..... :stir:

Well, I was trying to draw what I had in my head, then, I found one like it... And it could fit your layout too. It has a "drag strip" down the center..... :wai:
It's kinda versatile, in that you could have a big fast oval too, for fast laps with minimal racers..... I kinda like it a lot. If I had the opportunity, I think I'd endeavor into something like this myself..... I smell $$$.... ( both coming in, and being spent.... :lolgoku:)
