BMI shipping process?

Hey guys I picked up a bunch of parts from bmikarts 3 days ago and haven't got any shipping info. I called and they said they would have them out this afternoon but I still have yet to get any contact. The money was pulled the day I ordered so I know its not a hold for payment issue.

Anyone else encounter this with bmikarts?

They usually send an email just after the item ships so you can follow your ups tracking number. So maybe they will send that "your order has shipped"... "here is your tracking number" tomorrow.
I got mad cause their standard ups ground shipping cost seemed too high. Many items could have fit in a USPS 5.95 flat rate box and they would only use UPS and charged 11.95 so I no longer order there, but I do remember the customer service and email response was pretty good. I sent them messages at their website and they assigned a case number and responded in my email and my account at their website.

I ordered from there twice and both times it took like 5 days before the stuff shipped.

Yep they have a bunch of stuff. But the shipping department sucks. I get a lot of stuff from them still because I like ordering from the same place. I just know to wait a little longer.

Their shipping dept is ssslllloooowwwwwwwwww......... And I hate the way they force you accept the fact that they are sending it one way, the most expensive way.......
Me and a coworker mixed words, cause BMI shipped slow, wouldn't respond to emails, ect.... Got the run around.... After a month with still no parts or confirmation of the order, I figured coworker was trying to pull a fast one. After we had some words, I kd you not, a day later I get an email saying to expect a delivery from BMI. They finally emailed him to apologize for the delay in response and shipping.....
With BMI, I only look at the catalog, then try finding the same part cheaper (with shipping). If not, then I order from BMI.......

FMJ Use em as a catalog then shop around. Their website is easy to navigate. Even if they are cheaper by the time you add shipping they're NOT.

Normally for me they ship out in a day or two but I did order Monday this time and it was Wednesday when I got the shipping notice still not bad considering my order was a bunch of small stuff. They may just be super busy this time of year

Yeah I can see them busy.

What really bothered me is that I placed the order after speaking to them on the phone because they assured me it would be shipped out the next day by noon ( 9am my time) I figured that the shipping would be fast since the person
I spoke with literally had the parts in the same building!

I'm not in a huge rush but I can't move on with the kart with out these parts! I'll give them a quick call tomorrow and see whats up. I guess I may be spoiled but with the whole ebay instant shipping but 4 days seems extreme.

Quick update guys - got my shipping info today, Friday - placed order Monday.

Should be here in 5-6 days can't wait to get this build going!

I've had really good luck with BMI. I typically place my orders on Friday nights/ Saturday morning -I assume this is while they are closed for the weekend- and have gotten my tracking info by Tuesday.

Last week I ordered 2015 build-off parts on Friday and got my parts on this Thursday. The shipping for 4 rims, 4 tires, and 4 hubs was brutal, 90 bucks, - but when I got the package and it weighed out at just over 80lbs I understood a little better.

The UPS guy, who should love me for the job security my Amazon membership affords him, looked at me a little differently after rolling that box up from the street.

I just placed an order at MFG supply in Wisconsin on Wed 4-29. The shipping was 6.99. I received my parts in the USPS mail box here in S.D. Cal. Sat 5-2.

Because it came from a warehouse closer to you.
That's how a lot of companies ease shipping costs. They have centralized warehouses.... I ordered tires on ebay, from up north, at lunch one day. Tires showed up next day...... They had a warehouse in Dallas.........

Nope. I did not know they were in WI. I found out with the tracking number. I am just sayin they did a way better job than BMI gave Hippie

Yeah the ladies were really nice so customer service was solid just aweful shipping cost/time. But its alright, I'll have most of my stuff ready for the build-off

Placed an order with BMI and had my parts in a couple days. Plus their prices are pretty decent. Now I will leave this thread after jinxing myself.

Haha no worries they came today, a day early too! Still a 8 day shipping on a 3 day est. but I got my parts.
