If you guys are trying to convince me otherwise, link up some objective tests rather than anecdotes. Best I've been able to find is here -- not particularly scientific though: http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/air-filter-filtration-test/

Not trying to convince you of anything, just relaying facts of experience from working on racing machinery and equipment and vehicles for the time that I have and I can back my words up with that and I don't have to rely on someone's article, I try to pass on real true unbiased information from my own experiences of building and modifying engines for the past 40 plus years of many types.

It's on the internet...so it must be true.....

Sorry, when guys with real world experience....(and many years of it)...concur that they have had similar bad experiences with something....I am going to go with them over anything touted as fact on the web.....

But hey.....I'm not rolling the dice with my engine....so....if you guys think it's worth the risk....go for it....just hope the guys with decades of experience are wrong....to save a buck or two....

Where's The Guy Who Posted This?

Hey im here. Been a long week of work. Been on 75+ hours the past 2 months so i dont have alot of time to tinker. Got her fired upthe other night, what should my mix ratio be for this particular motor? i also have the tillotson carb and one question being there are two inlets, one below fuel filter, what is the other steel one for? My assumption would be oil but i thought you always had to premix.

Another question, im hoping to make this a 2 seater for my nephew and neices to ride with, and before i can start designing my frame i want to get the necessary parts to design the frame around, so i beleive i just need to purchase some axels and figure out my suspension before i get to that step, anything else i should look into before frame design. Also any suggestions on where/what to begin looking at for axels and suspension. I plan on trail riding and maybe sand dunes with this so i dont want a really rigid stiff ride

First you need to draw up, or plan the shape of the frame so you can decide where the axle, motor, seats, and everything else can go, then you build the frame, and start fabing up were everything will go and put it there

I don't know about the exact fuel ratio since it's in warmer weather ,Desertduler should know what type of fuel to oil mixture you should use, or what that other metal one is for because mine doesn't have a hole in it it's just metal, that was the same thing I was wondering, and whenever you get time please upload a video of this thing running open header or just running, and upload some pictures of what you have so far
