I haven't seen that yet
I'm afraid that's the new ios safari bug 
reloading the page helps at least sometimes on my ipad (ios 8.1)

Ok so i am not totally nuts. I should never upgraded past 7.
well.. I fricking hate updates if you don't have the option to ever downgrade again..
and I don't.. got that iPad as a present with ios8 installed already.. otherwise it'd be running ios 5 like my iPhone
so, no saved blobs.. no upgrade IYAM.
