MANCO Havoc 4005B Rebuild

Ok so my story starts off like most....got a Kart Cheap....thought how hard could it be to rebuild it...and now....I'm here! So I traded an old pistol for a Manco 4005B Havoc. Had a 5HP Subaru engine, it was Yellow and Rust, but had new tires! so that was a plus. The brakes were shot, had the wrong kind of belt on it and was chewing them up because the drives were all rusted.

Kids wanted it done before school started.....yeah I know....and I just now got it put together. Got the Frame Powder Coated, New Predator 212cc Engine (6.5HP), New Brakes, Disc, driven pulley, I mean practically brand new Kart.

No the Kill switch....Haven't done this yet....
I read the forums and found something about the Oil Sensor wire, but when I pulled the original engine it was done differently. Either way, it's been a project. I originally ordered parts from madhouse.com, and received some, but not all of them. They refused to refund me my money and said all parts were send....anyway I found a better place to get my parts from and have had no issues since!

What do you all think? Waste of Money or worth the restoration?

Depends on how much money you wasted :) I think it looks great. Did you blow more than $500 on it? If not, then I would say you can keep your sanity. $300? You came out alright! $200? Not likely. $100? Impossible.

I looked at them refurbished and they were selling for about $1500. I think I'm about $800 all said and done for a pretty much new Kart.

Thanks Guys it's been fun. Man that Predator engine is a very nice addition! Very glad I went with that!
