Thanks for noticing...not really that big....8 lbs. 12 oz.... a "lunker" back in the day....not so much anymore....c'mon down and we'll try to git one a lil bigger.....

10 pounders don't even raise an eyebrow at Lake Fork these days.....

That mount is slightly....and let me emphasize slightly...embellished....as I was also the taxidermist....but those old Squaw Creek bass were "footballs" as they had small mouths and were very "healthy".....

Yea.. I've done some Fishing on Fork and Caddo several years back. I used to head down to Shreveport a bit for work back in 05,06. Had a buddy living down there with a boat, we'd sneak off every chance I could get. Something about fishing through/around cypress tree's I cant get over.

Never fished Caddo.....something about that lake that is almost religious.....those cypress knees almost unworldly.....always wanted too....tho....

Only natural lake in Texas....and definitely the coolest visually......

EDIT: BTW.....The last time I fished Fork.....I got a bite from one of those double digit bass.(over 10 lbs....).....fishing in my tube....with only about 4' of line out.....just as I went to set the hook....this monster decided to run.....snapped a really nice expensive rod off just above the grip.....if the big ones were easy to catch....it wouldn't be near as much fun......

Well....barely into this thing and it's already getting complicated....but I can handle it......

Already the questions are coming: "What platform do you plan to run on?"

Answer: "After much deliberation....and no disrespect to my wooden supporters.....I have decided on welded steel.....1"....not the "New Deal"....Roosevelt style.....but the "Poboy Square Deal"....1"square tube.....

"What will be your first action if elected? "

Answer: "I will revamp all bus and bike lanes to be gokart only lanes....and make gokarts street legal...and 10 speed bikes with water bottle holders strictly off-road legal."

"What is your position on foreign affairs? "

Answer: "I prefer French women ."

"Who are your choices for running mates and cabinet members? "

Answer: "Charlie Sheen.....and Jack Daniels and Jim Beam.....(Campaign Advisor says I have to change this......

I don't see the problem......If North Korea wants a nuclear bomb.....we have a bunch of them.....give them one of ours.....free.....delivered from 30,000 ft. DONE DID! ......( New campaign slogan....)

Ummm, Doug?? I know you're really not worried about public opinion, but there are a whole bunch of international treaty's that cover that..... And right about now Putin is just praying for the US to do something like that....

sounds good to me, as long as the umpa loompa's are playing a key role in the administration, the position on foreign affairs is a refreshing change from the standard missionary position our leaders have been taking, can't save everyone!

I'm all for missionary work....I do some myself allbroad.....err....(campaign manager says change that to "abroad"....)

But....I guess missionary work is acceptable in my foreign affairs policies....

EDIT: .....And this may be a violation of state and religion.....but I often pray for the opportunity to join in a missionary endeavor......
