I also agree that the dog has just not been trained properly. I just cannot imagine putting a dog in a cage each time you go out. I have seen some horror stories of what dogs can do even when in a cage.

A dog shouldn't be caged or tied up if they have been trained properly

Good point! So I'm still in the same ball park..... He spent around $150 in materials..... A friend of mine, who is a dog breeders, says cages like this go for around $500...... On average... And get higher, for the same size cage.....

Man! That aint a cage it's a prison cell! I have a Walker coon hound that has separation anxiety and is afraid of any loud noise and thunderstorms. When she first moved in with me she would tear stuff up so I got her a cage. That was the single best thing I could have ever done for her she loves her cage. It is her happy place in thunder storms or when someone is shooting off fireworks or we leave the house. She even goes in there on her own when she does not need to be in there. I have an even harder time getting her out of it on some days. I have learned in some rare instances some dogs can not be trained. Daisy is not motivated by food, affection, praise, I even tried a shock collar to no avail. Bottom line is if she wants to do it she does, if not she refuses period.
