So I picked up this bike for $60 bucks from a neighbor
and I also picked up a 2hp Briggs and Stratton motor for $30. I pretty much have everything all planned out except.....the brakes.
It does have coaster breaks but I will be removing the pedals anyways so it doesn't matter. I was thinking of maybe either a direct brake that pushes on the tire (not sure I figured this would be like the only way for it be strong enough to stop it, not sure though, btw I am very new to all this) or classic hand brakes that squeeze the rim with 2 pads. Which would you recommend for this project? The tires are pretty wide (about 2") so if I were to use hand brakes I would need to find some to fit around the tire. Anyways any suggestions/ideas are GREATLY appreciated
