I have decided to build a frame from scratch so I was wondering what metal I should use and where is the best place to buy it. I am about 6 foot 2, 180 lbs, and Id like the kart to be able to go off road. Also if anyone has plans that would work for this, that would be amazing.

1" square tubing normally works well

1" x16 gauge works pretty good, if the kart is designed right, with appropriate bracing..... Round tube, I'd go with .08" thick.....
Just my preference though.....
