For my build I need an estimate on how much everything will cost in the end. Right now I have an engine that needs an exhaust. I need a kart that is larger (I am 6 foot 2) and I am planning on buying metal and making my own frame. About how much does a good kart cost to build? It is better to over estimate. Thank You

Metal ?
Steering wheel+Steering assembly: 40$
Brakes: A good drum brake setup would be about 30$
Sproket: A #40 60t is about 15$
Axle: 40" Live axle is 25$
Clutch: 35$
Chain: 14$
Welder
Exaust 20$

And a few other things I might have forgotten, sorry lol
The easier thing to do is buy a prebuilt kart.

But If you have the time and money, Go for it!

In the 300-500 range depending on the quality of parts

If you give more details we can help you a lot more find some plans if needed

My kart cost me around around $800, $300 for the frame alone; The only new parts were the control cables & the steering shaft support, everything else was used so, cheap or free but, there were too many hours to count...

15.00$ Shipping + 25.00$ for a 45" axle. Not that bad unless you want a custom one it might get expensive. The custom one would be about 65$ with shipping.
