Hey everyone,
That being a possible downside for certain things, on the upside its great for this kinda hobby. There is a huge amount of places to roam and explore here, especially with any kind of motorized vehicle.
I'm currently in the automotive program at my college so I figured this should be a good starting point for me. I'm from a background with... basically no experience with motorized vehicles at all. But I have picked up and learned many things over years and it helps that I'm a very "handy" person.
I don't have any fabricating or welding skills however, so that could be problematic in the future, but I'm not worried about that yet.
I had a single seat Manco Dingo and some other kind of dead axle go-kart a long, long time ago, but sadly they are long gone and I've been without a Go-Kart since.
But thanks to my recent job at my favorite camp over the summer, thats no longer a problem!
Part of my job there was to run Go-Karts and the camp still had a bunch of older stuff from years back that was no longer being used and collecting rust. Everything was going to be THROWN AWAY!
So... I talked to my boss and after some negotiations... I ACQUIRED EVERYTHING!!!
Lets just say we somehow "fit" everything in one truck. Comfortably? Not so much.
So any guesses to what I got and for how much? Need a hint?... Manco!
I'll be starting my official thread soon, either in Go Kart Discussion or Photo Gallery & Project Log, not sure which one though?...
So keep an eye out for me and I can't wait to get officially started on the DIY Go Kart Forums!
