Tecumseh Valve Springs

Hello again,

I am looking for beefier valve springs for my Tecumseh 5HP engine.
I did a few searches for this but nothing turned up too fruitful. I called this site and they told me that these would work: http://www.arcracing.com/servlet/the-1106/DJ-dsh-1057-VALVE-SPRING-36LB/Detail, but I heard that Honda springs could break through the seats. Any advice, anyone?

agreed, why don't you try on 18lb for size, that should get you like 7k. or even 24lb which could see you up to 10k. Unless you have a billet flywheel and conrod, you need to steer clear of ANY spring upgrades.

If you run the 18lb use the 33158 cast iron camshaft hard to find but you canget them on ebay for about 25$. Going to try the nylon camshaft with these I will let you know what happens.
