How much is this go kart worth?

Hi guys,
Hope you can help! I have a honda gx260 go kart in reasonable condition and I'm wondering how much it is worth as it is? It runs and drives perfectly

If I got it resprayed and cleaned up so it looks new how much would it be worth?

And If I converted it into a twin 260 kart how much would it be worth?

Safely i'd say, anywhere between £500-£1000 or $800-$1600 maybe

Worth/value are an opinion, governed by the laws of supply n demand... that being said...

1 gx260 ~ 300$
axle setup w/ hydro brakes ~ 200$
wheels/tires ~ 150$
frame ~ 200$

IMO...
By the math one would guesstimate the value/worth at around 850$... however, due to economics/location(which we have no idea on yours cause you didnt fill out your profile...)/and demand, the more 'reasonable' pricing would probably be closer to 4~600$... but someone would REALLY have to want/need it for a higher price range. I have seen a similar kart w/ only a gx200 go for 250$... but I live in an area where 'that' kinda kart is actually raced(so availability of a competitor price is here)....

Like I said, worth/value are determined by how many ppl want it, and how easily it is to find... so it's alil bit of a tricky question to answer. I personally would give/offer ya 'maybe' 350$ tops round here... but Ive seen em go for 1K... and sit on CL for months.

Harry, do you know what brand/model/year your kart is?

It'd also help us estimate value if you posted some more pics showing some different angles. I'd like to see a pic from behind showing the axle, caliper and rear frame rails.

That kart seems extra long, does it look like someone might have extended the frame ?

i buy and sell go karts and i say with that type of engine its worth 500 -600 if it had the 100 125 or the 250 you would be looking at a good grand easy

Well..

that kart without iit's exact info and history is worth exactly as much as the next guy is willing to pay.

You need to FIND the one that wants your kart or is dumb enough to be talked into it.

Sorry, but that's it.

A race kart without proper history (manufacturing date, race history etc.) is basically worthless for racers, since it cannot be raced
A no-name cheap non certified chinese kart with a gxclone can be had new for roughly 1000 Euros.
certified 'proper' race karts easily draw four times that amount off your pockets..even without an engine.
and used karts even have a bigger span..
few month old chinese crap can be had for 50-100 w/o engine if old enough even for free while a last years tony still has a four figure pricetag for nothing more but the frame and spindles if in good condition.
the gx engine is expensive if it's indeed a Honda even used.. but more like 250-350 used,
since noone knows whats actually inside (billet parts or not, piston/cylinder still good or not etc.pp.)
and if it's race ready... it could have seen quite some abuse already...
so it might need a rebuild soon *shrugs*

And since you don't know, the "next guy" rule applies here.

look at the prices on CL thats what there going for i buy and sell go karts all the time i bought my 13.5hp 2 seater go kart for 200 put 50 in it and now going to sell it for 500 the engine alone after being rebuilt is worth that much
