Done with vacation... time to work

Sorry mates i am really not getting the safety thing into my mind. Though we take safety seriously but over there you people follow very high safety standards which is very hard to follow such a high standard of safety in our case we gotta manage with safety gears what we have because we cant afford for new ones anyway as Doc sprocket said i will upload pictures only of the vehicle progress.

We could't work whole last week because of internals and holidays due to election and stuffs so took a vacation with my parents. Till today we could complete the front & rear shock mount, fixing throttle, clutch etc cables. We are planning to wrap up by 26th if possible.

testing shock  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFAeJ7_2K6g

Work remaning:-
-side panels & front panels
-Gear lever assembly
-connecting brake pipes & brake overhaul
-Fixing tires
-EXHAUST manifolds
-painting

Paint job

Hi mates i had been busy lately because i had to complete the vehicle before 7th of this month.

We finalized everything took a small test drive where in we realized that rear right wheel bearing had failed so it was replaced which costed 9$ and proceeded for paint job. All the components where dissembled and 1 coat metal primer was applied using brush and let to dry. We are using normal ASIAN PAINTS PREMIUM ENAMELS due to lack of funds :mad2:.

The painting was done using spray gun because we had a air compressor in our fluid mechanics lab which also made our work faster & easier :wai:. The chassis was painted MATTE BLACK and Other components like control arms, shock springs, engine mounts and little bit of detailing will be painted GLOSS ORANGE which is yet to be done.

Great work!!

Do I see some leakage of something from the back axle/shock though...

yup its transmission oil leak from the axle boot. initially we did not notice it, later when we looked into it, it was because of the oil seal inside the boot which had worn off.

Brought the boot kit today for $3 and will be replacing it tomorrow :)

Nice video. Can you just ride around on the streets. You would be caught pretty fast here by the cops

:lolgoku: Those are local streets in our college surroundings it wont be a problem driving there because no cops patrol there. And even if we take it to main roads cops wont really mind. They will be wondering like what is that thing :lolgoku: if at all we get caught n tell them its our collage project we are testing it they will let us go. I am planning to take it to my home which is 15 miles from my college.
