I was told i am experiencing these. All kinds of symptoms and scary as heck when it happens especially with my heart condition i keep thinking its that.
All i can do is sweat profusely feel kinda faintish and go out walking to help go away.
Anyone else have experience with this and suggestiond how to cope with it.

Thanks

less booze, more exercise, deep breathing, and when it comes to your "to-do" list, make a list, and start crossing things off. Anxiety is no fun. It really does help to vocalize the things you're concerned about, as well.

Just to add a little to Robert's suggestion with the list. Leave your previous list with everything crossed off up. I find it helps if I can see just how much I have already accomplished and how little (comparatively) that needs to be done.

Although I suffer with chronic depression, I've only ever had one or two anxiety attacks but, I know one or two people who have on a regular basis; the key is to find your trigger (now, here's the tricky part) without triggering an attack...

Of course, this is in addition to the advice above...

If you take medication for your depression. ..that is helping keep the anxiety attacks to a minimum.

As I haven't had my depression medicine in 2 months.....I'm battling both....but mainly depression and it makes it hard to get stuff done. I have a small supply of 10mg. Librium that works wonders on anxiety. ...but I save it for absolute emergencies. .....

Nothing some steady income won't fix.......

I had a string of them when I was working for a now former employer. I was doing on site machine repair for large machine tools; we had enough work for 3 people, and they refused to hire anyone to help me (my repair work was a sideline for them; they had bought out my previous employer where we had been machine repair w/ machine shop just to get the machine shop. They decided to keep the repair side going because it was almost totally time and material.)

For practical purposes, that's most likely the last company I'll ever bend over backwards for. All it got me was a whole raft of health problems and a DUI.

A good stop gap rescue medication (if your doctor approves it) is Zanax; it'll buy you some relief while you and your doctor sort out what long term medication(s) you need. Just don't let them max you out from the git go. Mine started me off on 1mg twice a day; I flat out couldn't function. He cut it down to .5mg twice a day; I bought a pill cutter at the pharmacy and dropped to .25 once a day, if I needed it.

Currently, I'm on Seroquel; while I don't leap out of bed in the morning, the alarm clock gets me moving so I can go in search of caffeine on my way to work (did I mention I just moved to 2nd shift?).

Hope this helps.... Pat
