i just got the karting bug after many years like 50 so you can guess i in my 60s but when i was younger karts and mini bikes is how i learned to build stuff and
weld i don't want to discourage any one from building here i think its great and i have done many, after kicking things around and the price of higher grade steel i went with getting a a older kart without the engine so
i found a older CRG that i want to restore on ebay the
frame is very solid its got the 140mm live axle i think its a road rebel not sure i will post pics of it some may have even saw the listing i may go with a KT-100 on i really like the design there is no shrouding being older and remembering Dart karts i like to look at nicely painted tube frame's wondering what the thoughts are and my choice I need a newer seat what would be a good choice and what class would this set up go in the senior + ?

:iagree: You have to kind of look at it this way.....Could you read all that outloud with out taking a breath? And if you did- would it be anything like the way you talk? I like to do this..........it's not exactly proper punctuation. .......but it indicates a pause......with more to come. Often why I end my posts that way.......because I never shut up or am through talking......but it makes my posts easier to digest. .......as it gives folks a chance to wave off the fumes of my BS between doses.......

So just breaking up your posts....... (like this)... or this. will help-

The seat might be a personal taste thing.... Just because I love my bucket and it fits me well doesn't mean you're gonna like it. Are you gonna race/compete with this kart? If so, ask around at the track or just look and see what every body is running as far as seats, computers (mychron,digitron,ect... ) , and that sort of thing. It is always good to know what the competition is up to.....

I don't know about home units, but my laptop don't do auto correct or finish my sentences for me like my tablet does. You can always tell when I'm on my laptop posting, due to punctuation, bad spelling, bad grammar (lol) , ..... That's why I stick with the tablet. Makes me appear intelligent..... :cornut:

To find what "vintage" class you'd be plced in, check vintagekarts.com, the R.E.A.R. site or the VKA site. Best places for vintage advice and help. Their members include some of the Founding Fathers of the sport so whatever questions you have, someone will know.
