I'm getting the itch myself and pm'd another member about making a trip to the coast next month and asked him if he was interested in tagging along-as he's on the way.

So he suggested a meet n greet and I thought that would be a good idea. I'm sure Chris, 'sid and Tony (and some others)... will probably be to busy (cough cough) to make it- but some a little closer might.....

Anyway- this is just a twinkle in my eye right now- but my thought is to go down Galveston way and catch the black drum run next month (about this time)....

I've never done it- but the opportunity to catch 30-40 fish in the 50-60 lb. range sounds appealing to me.

Oh man, And HOW!

As some of you might be aware, I make an annual fishing excursion up north somewhere, and I had to cancel last summer's trip due to a health issue and unplanned surgery. So- needless to say- I'm severely underfished lately!

For me it's a 3 hour 4x 4

For most it's a 23 hr plane trip and an 8 hr drive

...As well as the fact that I've never been interested in fishing; if you can guarantee me I can drop a line for 5 minutes & go home with dinner, I might be interested...
