A hybrid vehicle also have the space problem so engineer figure out best way to make parts compact, anyway;it's just a kind of combination, people can arrange what they want

Is the exhaust of that bike in the picture red hot???? :ack2::ack2:

that's not an exhaust ..
that's a pulse jet!

Commonly the exaust temprature of engine around 300~400 C,you can mod it "red"
yes it runs on LPG but that's still no LPG engine..

it's a f***ing JET

the exhaust temperature is more about 1200° Celsius
no need to "mod" the red..
further modding means orange, yellow, white,
grey human residue on the pavement. ;)

Yes;I can't see an engine on the bike, and the pipe looks like a jet,but I do remember engine exaust can make muffler red (maybe orange)

I've just seen a report said F1 ERS(energy recovery system by steam&electical)saved 40% fuel consumtion right now 2014

PS;Sorry for didn't read that report carefully,F1 ERS is only another form of turbo, while steam is another topic from locomotive- -

I say go electric. add some sort of solar panel charger and an efficient way to charge WHILE riding system. Regenerative braking, kinda, but not really....
Using a jackshaft of sorts, can you simply add a car alternator so it's spins in the correct rpm range to make 12v??
Go green or go home. You could be the next self made millionaire..... Great bike!

Well yes.. 40% on F1 cars.
But it's great nonetheless;
I've seen the mechanical storage system that was originally developed for Renault F1
(well the engineer said "a french formula one car maker" I can't think of any other)
basically it was box, the size of a shoe box, inside an electro magnetic gyroscope.
as soon as you break the energy is transfered to the gyroscope which starts turning..
up to 90k rpm.
And if you want to accelerate it can return that energy (about 100 HP worth of momentum)
But they got scared away because of that rpm.

Porsche has a similar system (much bigger, much lower rpm..same idea)
In all their hybrid race cars
The Porsche 918 hybrid for example..
887 HP, one 4.8l V8 engine with 601HP and two motors with 210kW (286HP)
the disc modul/motor provides about 115kW and a AC motor with 95kW
max torque 1280 Nm
fuel consumption 3.3L/100km (71 mpg)
as a comparision the 4.8l v8 of a cayenne needs 18L/100km (13 mpg)

So it's possible yes, the pricetag is what's making it rather dramatic (800,000 Euros)
Also, range of the electric motors is 30km (not noteworthy)
if you don't hit the brakes really hard every now and then you cannot charge the
gyro.
it will not work very well under your regular street condition, but that's great for a racecar.

The only steam ERS I know is that of a BMW (I think they call it turbosteamer)
on a 1.8l straight four engine it can recover 80% of the exhaust heat and produce about 10kW 20Nm...
resulting in 15% better fuel efficiency.

But a combined set of systems? never seen it,
but good to know,
if you can, please try and find the report,
if it's english we could read ourselves ;)

That LPG bottle with a gas stove are too heavy, this torch is light, with a dozen of cartidge cans no more than 3kg for a town stop suply should be enough

That looks cool .. does it work as expected?

The build right as 3D simulations do,38 end-joint tilting for motorbike is ok but not enough for bicycle in tight turn, you gona fall because your feet can't reach the ground,so I'm going to do like the picture shows,2 types of knuckles next build, also cut some fat off all of the plates
