Hello everyone, my name is Dominick, I am 16 years young :), and am trying to prep for go-kart season! I have 4 go-karts, 2 yard karts and 2 racing karts, well at least I think that is what it's called. I race all of them, but I haven't driven my 2 racing karts yet.

My main reason coming here is I want to learn more, I will be paying for everything I get, so I want to get everything right the first time. Not only that, but this is the most great group of people/forum members I have encountered (admitted lurker lol). I have my own car that I pay for '13 Hyundai Veloster Turbo, and the forums over there are great, but this one surpasses in generosity and respect for others.

I do love my car, but cars are a expensive hobby, very expensive. I am sure all of you know that. Plus that is my daily driver and if something breaks I am kind of stuck. These go-karts are not as fast, but still have a huge fun factor! Another thing, the only reason I mention I pay for my own stuff is I don't want you guys to think I am a stuck up kid. I know that is the first thing that comes in to mind for most people, but I promise this is not how I am. The only reason I can afford this car is because I am homeschooled and have no bills (yes I am taking advantage).

Anyways, enough rambling about my car, and I how I afford it. Here are some pictures for you guys. I really need to figure out what my engines are, and what parts to buy for the greyhound 6.5, thanks guys. If you have any questions let me know :)!

Newsflash! They're all Honda clones... apart from the red one which may be a genuine Honda...

Welcome to the forum

Awesome, I couldn't find out what they were! Thanks Fabroman, do you have any recommendations for a 1 1/4 Sprocket hub? For dirt track racing, and pavement do you think aluminum would be better?

Welcome aboard. Good to see a fellow racer here. Good lookin rides you have.

I'm Kelly. I do a unique thing here with go karts but I also race too. Here in Utah, at Larry Miller Motorsports Park my Daughter and I race. I just goof off basically in the SR4 Class and usually take 3rd or so, and my daughter took the championship last year in JR2.

Here's a few of my rides & pics. Racers first.
1. My ride #13
2. My daughter #11 and her student... (the kid that bought her JR1 kart)

More on her here: http://www.diygokarts.com/vb/showpost.php?p=294931&postcount=489

3 & 4. My "Kart Rods" The reason I'm here actually.

And your engines are clones. It was mentioned, but yup, the blue one is a Greyhound, the yellow one is a BSP (box stock project... looks like to me) and the red one (10 bucks says its a JIADONG or something.

Welcome.

Not at all sir. I can tell from your post that you are the kind of member we feel honered to have aboard. And may I say I'm impressed with both your manner and endeavors.

There's a couple of things that apply here.....One is an old show from the 60's called "The Real McCoys" in which the signature catch-phrase was: "no brag-just fact..." Another is the old saying: " It ain't bragging if you you can bwck it up.."

You have already shown more intelligence and maturity than a few grown middle aged men that thought they were smarter than you and the sum of this forum put together.

Welcome to forum- please stay and contribute. And do me a personal favor ......please. ....kiss your mother and hug your father for me- they deserve it!

Welcome.

Lots of builds, I love it! I bet your daughter loves it. My dad got me into it, he used to circle track race (pavement) in cars, but it got too expensive. We did about 3 years of nothing and then got into karting, I have been addicted ever since.

Thanks Kartman, some people take a little bit longer that what I do is possible, which is understandable. The very first forum I joined one of the Moderators said that I was "lying" before I got out my 2nd post! Thank you guys for being so welcoming, this is how all forums should work, but unfortunately it isn't. I can definitely see me spending a little more time on this forum :)

From where I am, no :lolgoku: I can get 'em by the bucket load but, that won't help you

this is how all forums should work, but unfortunately it isn't.

Well, it's fortunate for us, all the other forums make us look good :D

Erm, I mean, we make all the others look bad
