Generally you do not have a axle on the front of a kart. For the back, it depends what type of suspention you are looking at. You could just use some bearing hangers that would fit your axle

And like you say :useless:. If you don't give us some pics of what you are thinking of doing, or some examples that you have found on the net, it is not going to be easy for us to help you.

Have you googled for some pics of offroad buggies? Have you cruised the forum a bit to look at build logs?

My axle is an odd axle I blew a tire and can't find another so I need to make it a 1in axle so I can find tires. I was basically asking if you could maybe just put a fitting on the end of the axle without replacing the whole thing???? The front I don't know what it would be called maybe split axle, I don't know is there a fitting you can put on it also????Please help me I want my go cart running soon

What's the tire got to do with the axle?

Anyways, odd, what do you mean by that, there are 3/4" and 1" axles more or less common in the U.S. (especially for yard karts) on race karts axles are almost always metric 30mm, 40mm, 50mm

Or is it a gy6 cvt driven kart? then you might have a quad axle, you cannot just use a go kart axle as a replacement.

Many questions, and as a conclusion
:useless:

sorry

So what you're saying is you bought the wrong hub and rim. So now that makes you think you have an "odd-ball axle" when in fact you probably don't.

I don't have a camera or a computer but I post pictures here all the time. I use my phone. Certainly you know someone with a Smartphone. So post up some pictures so we can see what you need.

Probably all you needed to start with was larger diameter tires and possibly (but not necessarily) larger diameter wheels to fit what you have.

BTW::welcome2::useless:

The axle is a chinese axle I measured it awhile ago an all I remember is it was way to small. The go cart was bought as a kit from some chinese place the axle and tires/rims came with it they designed this odd axle that way you had to only buy from them then they went out of business and Ive looked every where and can't find any. I have decided I want a 1in axle because tire/rims are available. I will but don't want to buy a full axle change kit. I asked because I was wondering is there fitting you can put on the axle to fit different tires/rims???? ( I don't have a smartphone but Ill ask someone on monday)

It's possible that that there is a solution- no- more than likely. I think I already have it. But you are bouncing off the walls here with what you have, what you want and why. Just because you couldn't find what you were looking for doesn't mean it isn't readily available. Lack of pictures means you have to be super clear with your description and you haven't been.

While upgrading to a 1" axle isn't a bad idea- it is also going to involve some money and work.

Also-knowing what you have exactly can help us advise you on the pros and cons of many different solutions.

Also- what is "offroad"? What is your reason for that? If you are just going to be tooling around the farm and not climbing serious hills and rough terrain maybe all you need is different tires. If you have something else in mind then be prepared for a bunch of cash. But I can't say without knowing what it is you have.

Until we get pictures- you say the company's out of business? What company? You have wheels and tape measure- right? So measure the inside diameter of one and tell us what that is.

In a nutshell, the more information we have, the better advise you are going to get.

Back to my question.

OK, here's your first post:

Yet there are no pics!

To be able to help you, we need detailed information of what you have & what you want to do & pics of what you're working on; it's not that we won't provide the necessary information, we can't...

ADD....Attention Deficit Disorder. As in it seems you are paying absolutely no attention to the questions you are being asked.

It's this simple- the doctor can't help you if you won't tell him where it hurts.

The axle is likely metric

If it's not USA then it's likely metric

Likely the tyre will also be metric

Go to a tyre shop and ask them for a replacement

If they don't have them then they'll get them

Alternately
If u wanna go to 1 inch axle then u are going to have to drill new holes for the differant bearings

U will also be up for two or more bearing assy
A new brake disc and hub
New sprocket and hub
Two wheels and hubs

And if it is a Chinese odd ball design then it could well have metric chain
So new chain and clutch sprocket

It's going to get very expensive very quick

He did say Monday on the pics and it's just barely Monday here. You have to cut him some slack on the pics......I have no idea how far it is to town for him and at 14 he can't just jump in the truck and go. Being home schooled means he doesn't have 100 other 14year olds around him with $400 smartphones.

But we could work around all that if would just answer some questions and attempt to do what we ask. Not having a camera is what I don't understand when you can get one for $6........

I'm willing to give him some time and the benefit of the doubt at this point but it's beginning to look like he may be one of the few people we can't help......

Some people you just can't reach.......
