saw this site when I was poking around as these things make me smile like no other. Got a nice little frame on craigslist on the cheap and slapped a 212cc predator on it. Runs like a stabbed rat so it should get interesting. Oh, and by the way, it's really for my five year old. I can turn the throttle limit screw to wherever I want. Thing does donuts like there's no tomorrow.... My shop is in a business complex that's mostly empty after 5, and well....it's oregon.:wai:

I'm 220 bucks into it. lots of places to go with this thing...:welcome2:

Holy crap this thing is tiny....

Very cool, have you measured or calculated it's top speed yet?

What year is that buggy? It looks pretty cool. :wai:

Pardon the messy shop? I've never seen a clean one :lolgoku:

Also, :welcome2:

Welcome, please enjoy your stay :)

No you cant. If you limit the throttle, you limit the max RPM which, in turn, will damage the clutch:

A typical centrifugal clutch engages at anything from around 1800rpm to 2100 rpm but, it diesn't lock until around 2500rpm. If the throttle is limited, the engine may never reach 2500rpm so, the clutch will never lock, causing premature wear & shortening its life...

:iagree:
With a cent clutch, 'it's all show or no go. It's easy to burn a clutch that way.

idle speed is 1850+-. Clutch engages at just around 2000. Clutch is fully engaged whilst the youngen is putting around. Not saying it can't happen, but it's easy to tell when the screw isn't out far enough:roflol:
