My go kart as it sits right now has a 12 tooth clutch and 72 sprocket so I have a 6:1 right?

I found this forum by starting at the DIY Go Karts building plans page. The plan there is a dead axle. I agree most favor live axle, Any one administrators of this site think about putting live axle plans?

There are loads of live axle build logs within the forum, including mine...

The idea of the kart on the main page is it's a simple kart &, as a live axle is a little more complicated & expensive, a dead axle setup was used for that purpose...

It's not like a live axle is that much harder to do, a little more work and expense, but measure measure measure to make sure everything is lined up square before you weld it in for good.
