I only tweaked the puzzle a little;

Originally it was in GRIPS (colloquial german for brain) magazine 2009 published by Mensa in Austria
last on this page:
http://www.mensa.at/index.php?menuid=61&reporeid=114
(original task: complete the row)

Like a stirling motor?

basically every heat engine is an external combustion engine, right?
So steam engines too.

oh yeah, add the dots yourself then ;)

Well so I AM allowed to ask questions then?
*gg*
Good to know ;)

Nope my last name is not Einstein,
funny enough it's in the urban dictionary though...

Of course you can ask questions. Please phrase them in English as we are not as flexible translating as you. Other than that -YES- gloves are off- and may God have mercy on our souls.......:lolgoku:

No, I'm gonna be nice ;)
Oh and we could talk about pimsleurs again;
dann kann ich Dir die Fragen auf Deutsch stellen :lolgoku:
that is if you don't want to ask your mom all the time what I just said ;)

What is the equivalent(close to) in cc's, for a 2-stroke motor, to a HF212?

What is the equivalent in in liters, for milk, to a beer?

*shrugs* I don't know what you intend to ask.

So far, 12.. I'm trying to see if there's a different way, after about five minutes It took me, making sure your question wasn't really a riddle.

edit; I found 8, but do big squares count? if so.. then my 8 wouldn't work.

Bigger squares count (1x1, 2x2, 3x3 and of course 4x4) none should remain.

don't forget the picture to verify
(you can simply edit the original in MSPaint)

What is probably the most iconic German products in America that was offered up by Germany as reparations for WWII and declined by England?
Again? honestly...
well the most usefull german inventions in a list...
cars, helicopters, tv, computers, mp3 format, refridgerators (originally invented to store BEER in the summer.. germans...huh?), aspirin, airbags, chipcard, record player, tape recorder, theory of relativity (*gg*), the pill, toothpaste, x-rays, the wiener and of course the frankfurter sausage...
basically ever engine you can think of otto, diesel, wankel, jet...

iconic post war... fanta?

enlighten me.

Who is this quote most likely to be related to? "Ich bin ein Berliner? "

that'd be John Fitzgerald Kennedy June 26 1963

I take pride in the words... ;)

great man(!!), a shame he didn't had the chance to see Berlin and germany reunited.

Kennedy was the answer I was looking for.

As for the other one- this is something England DECLINED so still very much a Germany associated product.

Hm the most iconic german product EVER is most likely the beetle,
the british didn't liked it very much
official British report said:
the vehicle does not meet the fundamental technical requirement of a motor-car ... it is quite unattractive to the average buyer ... To build the car commercially would be a completely uneconomic enterprise.

but it wasn't part of any reparation so that couldn't be it, right?

This is probably going to absolutely GIVE this away- but this is the product most commonly associated with Adolf Hitler and the German people.

I have absolutely no idea what YOU associate with that :censored: :censored: piece of chaplin bearded :censored:
And frankly, I don't give a flying ship (yeah.. that's a family friendly version)

And since Robert doesn't have enough of those censored-smileys installed I am unable to communicate what I associate with that Austrian :censored:. :ack2:

I know you don't meant no harm, but that is an extremely unmindful post there.

And at this very moment I'm more than just slightly displeased.

If you look at it as a diagram that is really only 10 lines- then 4.If you consider every line then 9. (Either horizontal or vertical- remove the 8 lines- 4 on each side nearest the outline. You now have 8 rectangles in a large square. Remove any of the outside lines and you have no squares.

Edit; OOPS twice make that 3 and 11 - without removing 2.more the 8 rectangles also.make 4 squares.
