EVERY NIGHT there is like 400-600+ people on here reading up.... SOME of you guys GOTTA be in Houston. Looking for a group of "racers" runnin 1-wheel peel karts to meet once or twice a month to race for fun and braggin rights. All karts limited to 12t clutch 60t sprocket 8" tires , same HP /stock kart motors (predators) ect...... If you have a kart that needs repair, well, lets fix it.... I got a welder, pipe bender, tools,ect.... lets fix it..... Dont be timid,Dont be shy..... If you are not a forum member, sign up just to say you wanna race.... Send me a PM and lets get RACIN!!
I have 2 potential tracks to race on, 1 street(concret) and 1 field to cut out/up a dirt track. Both can be about 1/2+ mile round trip...... :auto::thumbsup:

Good on you Jim

Have you thought about posting elsewhere to get more attention? I feel you would only get limited views here (but, I could be wrong...)

Move to Florida, bunch of us down here want to race, but a lot of the cheap race chassis are broken at the welds, or some parts are smashed. and the non-broken ones go for like 1,000++ So we're stuck with cheap-o yard karts that wheels fall off of... ;)

Sounds like fun. I'm in the Magnolia/Conroe area and would like to participate if it's not too far away. I have a project Go Kart that needs "quite a bit" of work to get going, but this might be just what's needed to get motivated.

So if you're seeing how many people would like to get involved......count me in.

Dont be intimidated, we dont have fancy karts (i dont) but i have a TON of fun doing dough nuts and suzy-Q's on the street and dirt..... It doesnt have to cost a lot. $10 in gas? .....If we break it, we'll fix it.....

Maybe I'll bring my daughters cart with us on our next Houston trip. We go often enough to visit my parents with the kids.

I gotta get it out together first.......I bought the 6.5hp Predator today. It might take me a while to figure out the gears, clutch, throttle.....but I'll eventually get it!

Well, if this ever gets off the ground, just bring the kart and bits n pieces you need and we can slap it together in a jiffy. Mounting the motor, clutch, and running the cable is an hours work..... tops

Also, thinking we should have a limited open class ,live axle,"run what ya brung" type class...... i just bought a new project kart that is live axle. Was hoping it was dead, but , its another kart! It will be on the road tomorrow. ....
So, does that interest anyone new?
I'm just trying to get some guys together to have some kart racin fun?

While I was at the station today, I realized the little lot next to us would make a GREAT yard/dirt track. Its wooded, but it has trails already in it. I just need to get in there and thin it out a little with a weed eater ,mower, and a kart or two to start "cutting" the track. Its like an acre , plus/minus a 1/4 ..... big enough to cut a track in. I like turns, both left and right, on a dirt/grass "track. I like the drifting and it really puts your skills to the test against others. If all the karts spec the same, its up to the driver to get to the front....
Does a limited open class interest anyone new?

Whats wrong with your kart? You're not too far away. I figured we would/could have a few different places we could play. Keeps it interesting, not the same track time after time, and keeps it fair to all so we all gotta drive a little ways every once in a while. We can throw down on some BBQ or fajitas ,ect and make a day of it.... race ,eat n "shoot the breeze", and final race after that....
You other guys in the area gotta admit it sounds like fun......COME ON.... PM me or email me. My email is in my profile page..... :auto:

.... Ive been thinking bout doin the same as this thread... but for central NC... heck if dirt/clay and karts is all you need then this whole county(and surroundings) are 1 huge go kart paradise!...lol. Maybe finda spot outside Fort Bragg compound(roughly 20,000acres) and kick up some clay!... but Ill have to check to see the population here 'actually' in NC... then find a 'non-federal' spot to clear(I got friends back in the woods)... plenty of 'raced' circle tracks here ('Triple T' is nearest, big one, to me theres youtube vids on the place)... but circle isnt my forte(OCD on symmetry... lol)
