Hi guys, I started building my first kart a couple of months ago and have finally had time to put it up here to see what advice I can get.

I started with a lot of parts off an old ride on mower, and a doner engine and shocks from an old TF185.

I like the sidewinder setup so I'm trying to emulate that a little, however my front tyres are quite small considering the travel my springs give me so I've gone for a double wishbone setup for my front end rather than single wishbone to avoid any major change in camber (i think that's right?).

I am doing this on quite a tight budget, and I understand that that isn't necessarily the best way of going about it but so far I think I've done ok working with what I had.

Anyway here are a few pictures (providing I post them correctly) let me know what you think/how I can improve it.

@DaiSan76, it is pretty heavy, a bit heavier then I intended but hopefully the engine I have will be enough to drive it. If not I'll have to find a bigger engine!

edit: sorry didn't really answer the question, I'm not exactly sure what the weight is at the moment, I'll try get it on some scales when I get a rolling chassis together!

@Fabroman, that's the idea! hopefully anyway
