Over volting DC motor

Hello, i have the same exact motor and been using it for the past 6 months with no problem. I run it at 48v with SLA battery, 30-45 minutes at a time, twice a day for 3 days a week. It is very torquey and fast, i have it on a Razor E300 stand up scooter, pushing my 230 lbs body at 18mph with a 13t motor sprocket and 44t wheel sprocket. I will recommend using 2 of them, 1 in each rear wheel. Gd luck

you should be able to overvolt the motor up to twice its rated voltage. Now, i wouldnt run it for long at top speed, but it probably wont hurt it if you do short bursts of the full 2X voltage.

I had a electric scooter that had a 24 volt motor. Bumped the voltage to 36 and it ran fine. Bumped it to 48, still ran. Bumped it to 60 and it burned the motor within minutes.

also, if you plan on overvolting the motor, it would be smart to setup some type of cooling system, as the motor will produce more heat.
If you have the money, you would be better off buying a 48 volt motor instead of overvolting a 36 to 48 IMO
