I was looking online for the possible project I want, and realized I end up on this forum, A LOT . So decided to join in :)

My goal is,,

let's say formula 1 car is like a shifter kart.
and a DTM car would be,,, TaG or 125cc 2T racing kart?
I'm trying to build something sporty but not too racy so I can have some lateral G funs but drivable on moderate off road if I changed tires. - i.e. lawn, dirt road.

I dont like buggies (SUV), I don't like suspensions (way too much work)

something around 10hp, 2 passenger. Still haven't figured if I should do bench seat or longitudinal 2 seater.

I'm also dreaming of building gas-powered electric kart, like Chevy Volt. but that seems out of line lol.

Gear it low & you achieve lots of acceleration & a not too high top speed

What, the roll cage?

A bit of hard work never killed anyone...

So, basically, you want a Yerf Dog?

haha, well I want it to go faster than 390cc sodi rentals.
but first things first, chassis and budget.

I don't like roll cage. maybe detachable, but not welded.

I know it won't. but it'll kill my GPA :p plus I don't even have full knowledge of suspensions yet.

lol yerf dog is too high for my taste. I meant 2 seater like front and back 2 seater, but I've pretty much talk myself into a single seater now.

Welcome to the forum

thanks :)

That won't be hard; rentals are geared to be slow & the engines are governed. Once you remove a governor you open up a whole new bag of tricks...

When planning, consider big tyres; not big as in 22" tall, just high walls &, possibly, wide; round ATV type tyres are good. The reason: they provide a mild suspension &, of course, can be used on or off road.

hmm big tires. Do slicks come in those big tire sizes??

I think i'm gonna have to go "drop axle" to keep the height low.

Thanks. I'll be posting in discussions if I have further questions :)
