Tricycle steering is a LOT less stable than conventional paired wheels. The fact that he had to add a rotary damper to the caster wheel says that he had problems with flutter at higher speed. He definitely put some effort in it; at least he thought to give the rear a wide footprint and built it extremly low to the ground (he apparently didn't have a death wish).

If he used two wheels to steer it would be a lot better.
